Netcracker announces Megafon will be using its OSS suite to improve operations and service quality. Which is good, because that’s exactly what OSS is for…
Netcracker, owned by NEC, announced today that Russia’s second largest mobile operator, MegaFon, will be benefiting from Resource Inventory, Outside Plant, Discovery & Reconciliation, Network Planning & Design, Service Order Management, Service Information Management, Service Inventory, and Service Activation solutions.
“This project aims to consolidate inventory databases and centralize infrastructure management”, says the press release.
Looks like one of those OSS transformations that were big in the 2000s, so it’s good news for the OSS industry that telco’s are continuing to invest in a major overhaul of their operational capabilities.
