News of the Week

What else has been reported in the world of OSS this week? NetCracker busy, austerity at Amdocs but Vodafone <3 them, and what if Jony Ive redesigned your OSS logo?

NetCracker is deploying OSS/BSS at Lightpath, provider of Ethernet-based communication solutions for New York metropolitan area businesses. The deployment includes service and resource inventory, service provisioning, order management and product catalog capabilities. You can see the full press release here.

And! NetCracker also announced this week their deployment at Crnogorski Telekom, the biggest telecommunications company in Montenegro. Busy week.

The pay to Amdocs top 16 execs has been halved over the last two years, reports Israeli business news site Globes. $6.2 million this year, down from $7.6m in 2012 and £13.3m in 2011.

Vodafone recognises Amdocs with their Supplier Award for Extraordinary Contribution. Which sounds like hyperbole, but I’d rate an award from a customer far more than any pay-to-play media/press award. Well done. That should cheer up the execs.

Sigma Systems gets a rebrand, and it’s very fashionably flat day-glo. Check it out at their home page.
