AsiaInfo-Linkage announced today that they have expanded their presence in Europe with a new office in Denmark, supporting their contract with contract with Telenor ASA.
The Telenor ASA contract is a major BSS transformation project described by Telenor Denmark CEO Marek Slacik as
Crucial to create a new, simpler and more efficient Telenor
The new office provides a base for further growth in Europe, following their successful launch in the region at the end of 20313 (see AsiaInfo – This is Kind of a Big Deal).
And good news, the new office may lead to more telco IT jobs in the region, says Alex Hawker, AsiaInfo Managing Director, EMEA:
Initially we expect to recruit about 20 local staff to complement our existing European and Chinese teams for the Telenor project, and we have several of these on board already. Hiring will expand further as we pursue new customers and opportunities in the Nordics.
